The HF S100 packs the best of Canon’s camcorder technologies and hardware into a design that is compact and easy to carry. With the Canon VIXIA HF S100, your images will sparkle with detail, thanks to the 8.59 megapixel image sensor. Blues, reds and greens are separated for rich color reproduction with the RGB primary color filter feature. Your colors will be just as bold and bright as they are in real life and you’ll also get optimal images in poor lighting conditions.

The high definition video lens with its 10x optical zoom shoots video that is sharp and clear. The optical image stabilization reduces blurry images by actually moving the lens elements.

The Canon VIXIA HF S100 boasts an Instant Auto Focus so you can snap your shots into focus seconds quicker then most auto focus systems, and you’ll get crisper and more accurate footage on the HF S100.

For still shots, the HF S100 takes 8 megapixel images in the photo mode or 6 megapixel still photos while you’re shooting video.

Canon’s Face Detection system is built into the HF S100, and it can remember up to 35 faces and allows you to search and playback your videos according to the subjects who are in them.

The VIXIA HF S100 features CMOS image sensor and Canon’s advanced image processor, DIGIC DV III and the convenience of Flash Memory. This technology allows you to record 6 hours of high definition video to the removable SDHC card. With this you get more available space and flexibility for file transfer and playback.
